How do you save in GTA chinatwon wars? 4 Iphone?

I dont even want to play this game any more, Everytime i back out i have to restart and watch the opening video clip its so annoying. I know ten people who have this game and apparently no one knows how to save. I know theres some way to save with the pda and by going to your apartment but i dont know how?
